11th November 2020 - MTN GlobalConnect wins Best African Wholesale Operator award and the merit award Industry CEO of the Year for Wholesale Operators at Telecom Review Excellence Awards - 14th edition
MTN GlobalConnect was presented with the prestigious Telecom Review Excellence Award for the “Best African Wholesale Operator” on Tuesday 18th November 2020. The award ceremony took place at the Meydan Hotel Dubai, UAE.
In addition, Frédéric Schepens, CEO of MTN GlobalConnect was presented with the Telecom Review Leader Merit Award in the category of Industry CEO of the Year for Wholesale Operators. This award is a testament to his agile and people-centric leadership style. Fred is a seasoned telecom wholesale professional and has been running the company for over 3 years since its’ inception taking it from zero to one. MTN GlobalConnect is the only operating company out of 21 MTN companies that isn’t country specific. The MTN GlobalConnect team consists of more than 25 different nationalities from all around the world that operate in the global arena as the norm rather than the exception. In a year characterised by the unknown and various challenges for companies and individuals alike, the key takeaway is the importance of resilience on every level to continue to grow.
