Rami Farah is an accomplished technology leader with over 25 years of experience in network transformation, technology architecture, and large-scale operational delivery across diverse markets within the MTN footprint.
As CTIO, Rami is tasked to lead technology strategy and innovation, strengthen infrastructure capabilities, and support the company’s growth ambitions.
Since joining MTN, Rami has held several senior leadership roles, including CTO positions at MTN South Africa, MTN Irancell, MTN Uganda, MTN Rwanda, and MTN Liberia. In his most recent role as CTO of MTN South Africa (2023–2025), he delivered exceptional results in network availability, benchmark leadership, 5G rollout, and NPS performance, earning multiple accolades such as MTN CTO of the Year (2023 & 2024), the MTN Group CEO Network Reward, and the Xtramile Award.
Rami holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from Aristotle University in Greece, a Diploma in Telecommunications Management Studies from Spain, and a Baccalaureate in Mathematics from Tripoli, Lebanon.
