2Africa West forms part of the larger 2Africa system, the world’s longest subsea cable at 45,000 kilometres, connecting 33 countries across Africa, Europe, and Asia. The western route extends this global network into critical markets, linking Yzerfontein and Duynefontein (South Africa), Lagos and Kwa Ibo (Nigeria), Accra (Ghana), and Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire). 2Africa extends to landings in the Republic of Congo, and onwards to Portugal and the UK. With landings in these key markets, Bayobab has invested in the largest number of 2Africa landing sites of any service provider on the continent, cementing our role as a leader in subsea infrastructure. Each landing point strengthens our regional connectivity, offering our customers with connections to major data centres and terrestrial networks. This ecosystem of connectivity offers redundancy, providing uninterrupted service to hyperscalers, mobile network operators, internet service providers and more.
